Our Review
Written by AnimeReview TeamThe animation, done by Madhouse, is simply stunning. The fight scenes are fluid and dynamic, and the character designs are so expressive. You can really feel the impact of every punch and the intensity of every Nen ability. And don't even get me started on the soundtrack! It perfectly complements the mood of each scene, whether it's an upbeat adventure theme or a somber melody during a moment of reflection. The music just elevates the entire experience to another level. I remember being on the edge of my seat during the Chimera Ant arc, partly because of the incredible visuals and sound design.
Overall, Hunter x Hunter (2011) is an absolute must-watch for any anime fan. It's a rollercoaster of emotions that will have you laughing, crying, and cheering for the characters every step of the way. The world-building is phenomenal, the characters are unforgettable, and the story is just plain amazing. It's one of those anime that stays with you long after you've finished watching it, and I can't recommend it enough. Seriously, if you haven't seen it yet, drop everything and go watch it now! You won't regret it! I still get chills thinking about certain moments – it's THAT good!

Synopsis
Okay, so you guys know I'm a sucker for a good adventure, and let me tell you, *Hunter x Hunter (2011)* delivers on that front in spades! Imagine a world where extraordinary individuals, known as Hunters, dedicate their lives to tackling the impossible – exploring uncharted lands, hunting down mythical creatures, and tracking down priceless treasures. Sounds exciting, right? But here's the catch: becoming a Hunter isn't exactly a walk in the park. You've got to survive the Hunter Examination, a brutal test that weeds out the weak and leaves many applicants seriously injured, or worse. It's a high-stakes game with deadly consequences.
Enter Gon Freecss, a spirited and determined 12-year-old whose ultimate goal is to find his legendary father, Ging, who just so happens to be one of the most renowned Hunters in the world. Gon believes that the only way to understand his father and finally meet him is to follow in his footsteps and become a Hunter himself. And that's where our journey really begins.
Along the way, Gon meets some seriously amazing characters: Leorio, a quirky aspiring doctor with a surprising amount of heart; Kurapika, a stoic and vengeful survivor of a massacred clan; and Killua, a former assassin from a family of notorious killers. Despite their vastly different backgrounds and motivations, these four forge an unbreakable bond as they navigate the treacherous Hunter Exam and beyond. Trust me, this isn't just about passing a test. It's about friendship, sacrifice, and discovering what it truly means to be a Hunter in a world full of both wonder and danger. Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster, because *Hunter x Hunter* will grab you by the feels and never let go!

Bungee Gum possesses the properties of both rubber and gum...and this anime makes me question my sanity in the best way possible. LOL
Yorknew City arc was peak fiction. The feels, the tension, everything was *chef's kiss*.
Animation's great, but they skipped some important details from the manga. Still a good adaptation, but read the source material!
Killua's so cool, I can't even handle it. Best anime ever!!!
Just started this, the Chimera Ant arc is kinda slow though, does it pick up later?
